Our CPR Training course in Adelaide is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively in emergency situations. Completing this course will provide you with a solid understanding of how to perform CPR, manage breathing and cardiac emergencies, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

• A Statement of Attainment is issued at the end of the day of your course via email

• Arrivals after 08:30 am will not be able to attend training that day

 

Course Topics:

• CPR Techniques:  Learn the proper techniques for performing chest compressions and rescue breaths to sustain life in emergencies

• Using an AED:  Gain proficiency in using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during cardiac arrest situations

• Managing Breathing and Cardiac Emergencies:  Understand how to handle breathing difficulties and cardiac events until professional help arrives

• Emergency Response:  Develop skills to assess and manage emergency situations effectively

• Practical Hands-On Training:  Participate in hands-on training to ensure you can confidently apply what you've learned

• Shock Management: Learn how to recognize and manage shock in emergency situations

• Bleeding Control: Understand techniques for controlling bleeding and treating wounds

• Asthma Management: Learn how to assist individuals experiencing asthma attacks

• Choking Emergencies: Learn techniques for handling choking incidents in individuals of all ages

Certification Process:  At the end of our CPR Training course in Adelaide, students will receive their Statement of Attainment via email dur the training. Certification is provided on-site, ensuring no one leaves the class without their qualification

Skills

You will receive hands on practice with a CPR mannekin, both adults and baby as well as actually using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), simulate bandaging eye injuries, broken bones and wound care. There will be some roleplay with scene and injury assessments.

This allows your workplace to meet its legal requirements regarding the provision of first aid in the workplace.

It will provide you with an understanding of how to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

CPR provided in this course is the same as CPR training all medical professionals receive.

Course Delivery           

FACT courses are completed face to face at our training location 34 South Terrace Adelaide 5000. We provide the theory based reading booklet (Learners Guide) as well as the pre course study requirements which can be found in the confirmation email which is sent on the completion of booking.

To ensure the integrity of the our process we will require proof of the photo ID that you used to confirm your enrolment on the final day (your booking date) and the completion of all pre-study and knowledge requirements.  

 

Knowledge

To allow this course to completed within the expected duration, we require pre course study to be completed. Once you book in to the course you will receive the online student materials which will help you complete the pre course requirements.

If you have completed first aid training before this will be a good refresher.

 

Certificate Issued

 

A PDF certificate with email security will be emailed to your personal email address (supplied by you) upon successful completion of all training, assessment and administrative requirements. Some conditions will apply including the completion of the USI.

The Student USI and pre-course study must be completed prior to the start of the day that you have booked to complete the practical training and assessment or we can not guarantee you will be able to complete the practical training on the day.

 

Course Duration

 

The course overall course duration is up to 15.5 hours with up to 9 hours of pre-study.  The practical training and assessment will take place over a timeframe of up to 6.5 hours.  The registration and check in time is from 08:00am and the practical training and assessment commences at 08:30am sharp.
